What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Nurse position at Snow Farm: New England Craft Program?
Snow Farm: The New England Craft Program is looking for a Nurse (LPN or RN) to assist with our Snow Farm Summer teen craft program. Snow Farm Summer is a licensed, non-profit, summer camp for teens ages 14 - 18. The heart of the program are the studio classes in flameworking, ceramics, painting & drawing, metalsmithing/jewelry, sculpture, and flat glass.
Snow Farm Summer runs with 2 sessions between June 29 - July 11 and July 13 - 25, 2025.
The nurse will:
- Review student’s health forms to provide guidance to staff prior to the start of camp. This can be done remotely.
- Communicate with parents prior to camp about any questions or concerns they have about a student’s medical records.
- Collect and review medications upon student arrival on June 29th and July 13th from 12-6 pm both days.
- Administer daily medications Monday-Friday 8-10 am.
- Be on-call to assist with emergencies, illnesses, in-patient care, sick calls, medication administration, and transport of patients to specialists or hospitals, etc. during the duration of the 2, 2-week camp sessions.
- Communicate with camper/participant families as needed/appropriate during the program
Requirements:
- Experience working with children/teens
- Currently certified as a nurse in Massachusetts
- 21 years of age or older
- Pass a CORI and SORI
- Previous camp experience a plus!
