Overview:
The Banquet Houseman is responsible for the set up, tear down and maintenance of all meeting rooms.
Position Description & Job Responsibilities
- Set Up Meeting areas Assembles and arranges conference equipment in conference rooms per client needs.
- Disassemble meeting rooms at appropriate break down times
- Attend to any requests by guests.
- Maintain conference equipment Perform minor maintenance on conference equipment
- Inventory of equipment
- Ensure storage areas are clean and organized
- Ensure cleanliness of entire meeting areas, dusting, vacuuming and furniture placement.
- Polishes all brass sign displays and stairway handrails.
- Dusts all pictures and furniture.
- Checks and cleans all public restrooms replacing supplies as needed.
- Maintains a neat appearance of equipment at all times.
- Report all maintenance needs and special cleaning needs.
- Return all lost and found articles to Housekeeping Office.
- Provide assistance in other areas as needed
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule due to business levels and industry demand.
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform all duties in a professional manner and in accordance with company policies.
- Able to reach overhead, bend, twist and kneel
- Able to lift heavy objects
- Pleasant personality.
- Excellent communication skills.
