WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists chefs in set up of prep stations, stocking inventory and preparing food according to recipes
- May assist in serving and greeting guests
- Will use equipment such as knives, ovens, grills and other kitchen equipment as needed
- Work banquets and events as needed
- Maintain required inventories and par stock levels in coolers and racks
- Must maintain all sanitation standards
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO DO THE JOBS?
Required Experience
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of culinary preparation and recipes
- Product knowledge of all food and beverage menus- ability to make suggestions to guests
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness in food prep and serving areas
- Proper and safe use of all kitchen equipment
- 100% accuracy in all recipe preparation, sanitation procedures and safety standards
- Ability to work closely with other team members in a high-paced environment
- Excellent Communication skills in English
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in indoor and outdoor environments
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and some nights
- Handling of food and beverages potentially containing, but not limited to; dairy, gluten, wheat, soy, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, garlic, onions, shell fish and other seafood
- Ability to accurately read and make measurements and adjustments such as scaling of recipes
- Physical ability to bend, reach, twist, kneel and crouch
- Follow all procedures and directions associated with the Snowbasin Culinary and Purchasing & Receiving teams
- Supports the financial and marketing goals of the department
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to use basic office equipment to manage inventories and reports
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT?
Preferred Experience
- Previous culinary experience
- Knowledge of culinary procedures, occupational safety and food safety
- Current Utah Food Handler's permit
- Positive attitude and willingness to lead, mentor and communicate with all team members
- Eagerness to foster departmental teamwork and collaboration
