Description Scope of Work : We are looking for a dedicated Events & Partnerships Marketing Manager to join the Snowbasin Team. This role leads partnership marketing and oversight, including execution and experience for Snowbasin’s public facing events. This role will be involved in preparing for the upcoming 2034 Winter Olympics and necessary events leading into it. In addition, this role will lead recruitment, execution and relationships for third party sponsors and brand partners.Primary Duties : Manage execution and experience for all public events, including but not limited to the Opening and Closing Day, Pond Skim, Rail Jams, Blues & Brews, SnowWiesn Oktoberfest, Haunted Basin and Christmas Eve.Identify and manage strategic partnerships to drive revenue and enhance guest experiences, including contract negotiation, deliverable tracking and implementation.Develop new events, experiential programming, and activation ideas to enhance the guest experience and maximize partner involvement.Serve as the primary event contact, owning internal communication to employees and ensuring logistics are organized prior to each date.Oversee community activations, including the Mountain Market and other touchpoints by recruiting vendors, managing pre-arrival communication, set-up and take-down.Partner with Snowbasin departments on optimization of each event operating area, including Food & Beverage, Guest Services, Lift Operations, Ticket Sales and more.Utilize feedback from experience surveys to adjust and improve events.Obtain necessary permits and abide by County and State requirements for events.Secondary Duties : Assist the marketing team in event and resort promotion, including social media coverage, advertising campaigns, or website updates.As time allows, assist with non-public events, including Spartan Race, 29029 and others.Requirements : 2-3 years of experience in partnership marketing or event planning, promotion or management.Non-traditional work schedule from Wednesday through Sunday each week.Ability to work each event, often taking place on weekends.College coursework in business, communications, or similar field of study.Understanding of events planning / operations; a pulse on current trends as well as an ability to keep events relevant and fresh required.Ability to ski or snowboard, or willingness to learn how with free lessons provided.Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds on a regular basis.Ability to drive a motor vehicle and valid driver's license.The dynamic nature of the resort requires collaboration in-person.
