What are the responsibilities and job description for the Flower Technician position at Snowbasin Resort?
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintain flower care, including watering, deadheading, and weeding flower bed and containers
- Ensure proper care of lawns, trees, shrubs, and other vegetation
- Trim and prune bushes and trees
- Assist with irrigation work, including repairs
- Mow, rake, water, fertilize lawn
- Apply Fertilizers, Herbicides, and Insecticides
What you’ll need to do the job:
- Knowledge of plant and flower care
- Ability to prune and trim trees/bushes properly
- Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment (i.e. mowers (riding and push), aerators, verticutters, string line cutters, edgers, tillers, hand tools, trucks, ATV’s, tractors, front end loaders, forklifts, irrigation timers, pipe risers, pumps and valves)
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of using hand tools for multiple hours at a time
- Ability to work outdoors in various mountain weather conditions for long periods of time
