Job Title: Woodstove and Fireplace Installer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Woodstove and Fireplace Installer to join our team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of woodstoves, fireplaces, and chimney systems in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate has experience with hearth appliances, understands local building codes, and is committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Install woodstoves, fireplaces, and venting systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety codes.
- Inspect existing chimney and venting systems for compliance and recommend necessary modifications.
- Ensure all installations meet local building codes, fire regulations, and customer preferences.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on wood-burning, gas, and pellet stoves.
- Operate hand and power tools safely to cut, fit, and secure components.
- Educate customers on safe operation and maintenance of their heating appliances.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean work environment.
- Work independently or as part of a team to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and any recommendations for future service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in woodstove or fireplace installation, HVAC, chimney service, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of local building and fire codes related to solid fuel heating appliances.
- Ability to read and interpret installation manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, and rooftops.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Certification from the National Fireplace Institute (NFI) or Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) is a plus.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
