We're looking for an experienced attorney to join Snowflake's Legal team to manage a variety of employment and litigation matters. This role will report to Snowflake's Senior Director, Associate General Counsel - Employment & Litigation. This is an in-person role based in Dublin, CA or San Mateo, CA. This is not a remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES : Employment
- Serve as the employment law partner to various teams within Snowflake to provide advice and manage projects involving a wide range of issues, including payroll compliance issues, HR-related compliance issues, global mobility / immigration issues, recruiting issues, professional services and contingent worker issues, pay equity reporting and employment-related statutory reporting (e.g., EEO-1, AAP, etc.), pay practices (including vacation pay and overtime calculations), environmental health and safety compliance, and employee training requirements.
- Serve as the employment law team lead for employment-related due diligence and integration activities as part of mergers and acquisitions.
- Serve as the employment law team lead for international expansion and other corporate initiatives.
- Coordinate with privacy counsel on issues related to employee data protection and employment-related privacy issues, including assisting in responding to data subject access requests.
- Draft employment-related agreements, templates, policies, and forms (e.g., leave of absence policies, employment agreements, policies, separation agreements, etc.).
- Prepare and deliver training, in coordination with HR, on HR and employment law topics for managers and business leaders.
- Conduct periodic reviews, audits, and compliance assessments of employment-related policies and practices.
- Monitor changes and updates to employment laws; draft, maintain, and update legal research memos and resources; and advise stakeholders of developments that may impact Snowflake.
