Minimum Requirements:

District policies, programs, and Board, teacher, and support staff agreements;
Techniques for selection, orientation, supervision and staff due process;
Safety procedures;
Facilities operation and management;
Master scheduling techniques;
Budget administration.
Skills (position requirements at entry)
Counseling and advising parents, students, and staff;
Developing and training staff toward instructional improvement;

Training and Experience (position requirements at entry)
Advanced coursework preferred;
Three years teaching experience preferred;
Documented evidence of successful leadership experience;
Or any combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform
the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Licensing Requirements (position requirements at entry)
Arizona State Principal Certification.

Essential Functions:
• Work cooperatively with teachers, supervisory and related administrative personnel.
• Manage the disciplinary program for all students.
• Maintain the attendance system for all students and parents.
• Assist in the evaluation of all instructional and support staff.
• Assist in the development of programs and projects.
• Monitor programs funded form external programs.
• Monitor, supervise, and direct extracurricular activities.
• Assist the Principal with facilities maintenance.
• Assist with the master schedule.
• Provide assistance to the Special Education and CTE Departments.
• Organize and manage standardized testing.
• Monitor and implement campus safety policies and procedures.
• Implement all School Board Policies and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
• Fulfill professional responsibility of serving on District committees as needed.
• Be responsible for the health and welfare of the children within the school
environment.
• Be accountable for his/her physical, emotional health and ethical behavior as it
applies to District job responsibilities.
• Develop continued professional growth as evidenced by continuing educational
classes, professional conferences, visitations and by maintaining current knowledge
of professional literature.
• Participate in school and District functions.
Physical Requirements:
• Positions in this class typically require: talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive
motions.
• Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible
amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move
objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all
other sedentary criteria are met.
