Job Summary
The Production Worker plays a key role in Snowville Creamery’s production operations, handling a variety of tasks to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency in our product line. While initially assigned to specific responsibilities, all Production Workers are expected to cross-train across all systems and equipment, gaining the skills to operate each production station proficiently. This role is essential to maintaining smooth production flows, and team members are integral in meeting Snowville Creamery’s high standards for product quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform setup and teardown of assigned production equipment, ensuring all components are in place, sanitized, and ready for efficient operation.
- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently to support smooth and consistent product output.
- Maintain quality control by following detailed production procedures and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Participate in cross-training across all production systems and equipment, including milk fillers, yogurt fillers, pasteurizers, raw milk receiving and other key machinery.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and maintain a clean, safe workspace throughout production.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Assist team members with tasks as needed, particularly during high-demand periods or to cover absences.
- Support the onboarding of new team members by sharing knowledge of multiple production roles and equipment.
Expected Work Products
- Accurate setup and teardown of equipment that meets Snowville Creamery’s standards for safety and sanitation.
- Consistently produced products that meet quality and safety standards.
- A well-organized, clean production area.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: Experience in food production or manufacturing is a plus, though training is provided.
- Skills:
- Ability to learn and adapt to new equipment and processes.
- Strong attention to detail for quality control.
- Effective communication skills to work well with team members and supervisors.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
- Certifications: Not required, though certifications related to food handling or safety are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Schedule:
