Advanced Engineering Equipment Engineer

Company Profile :

Welcome to the forefront of automotive excellence, where innovation meets precision engineering. Our client is a tier 1 automotive supplier that specializes in the manufacturing of stamped and welded components that drive the industry forward. Nestled within their world-class manufacturing facility lies the heartbeat of their operation : cutting-edge technology fused with a relentless pursuit of excellence. Here, craftsmanship meets innovation as they push the boundaries of what’s possible, setting new standards for quality, efficiency, and reliability in automotive manufacturing.

Position Overview :

Are you ready to shape the future of manufacturing? We are looking for a forward-thinking Advanced Engineering Equipment Engineer to lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge production processes for new model launches. In this role, you’ll collaborate with top engineering minds and production teams to design, specify, and deploy advanced equipment for high-volume manufacturing—focusing on robotics, automation, and welding technologies.

From resistance welding and MIG welding to fully automated assembly processes, you’ll be at the heart of innovative production solutions. You’ll support APQP activities for new models and lead equipment development, installation, and debugging.

Beyond new model development, you’ll also tackle challenges like optimizing existing equipment for better efficiency and supporting exciting cross-functional projects with sales and R&D teams. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in revolutionizing modern manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the future of manufacturing by working with production teams, R&D, and global partners to create and refine cutting-edge manufacturing processes and equipment installation plans.
  • Design the tools of tomorrow—developing detailed specifications for automated welding and assembly equipment to ensure top-tier performance and precision
  • Collaborate globally with foreign and domestic equipment manufacturers to ensure new machinery meets exacting quality standards.
  • Own the process—oversee the installation, debugging, and validation of new automated equipment to ensure smooth production from start to finish.
  • Drive innovation by incorporating the latest in automation technologies to boost productivity and enhance the quality of both new and existing production lines.
  • Be the communication hub, providing key project updates to management, customers, and project teams, keeping everyone aligned and moving forward.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Industrial, Welding, or related fields).
  • Strong experience in high-volume automotive manufacturing is a plus, but a passion for automation and innovation is key.
  • Project management expertise with a knack for delivering complex, technical projects on time and on budget.
  • Hands-on experience with automation and controls, including robotics, PLCs / HMIs, industrial sensors, and vision systems.
  • Top-notch organizational and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility for travel and off-hours work as projects demand.
  • Why This Role is Different :

This is not your average engineering role—this is where innovation meets real-world impact. You’ll have the opportunity to influence the production of new models, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with automation and robotics. If you’re someone who thrives on solving complex challenges and bringing ideas to life in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment, this role will ignite your passion for engineering.

Join us and be a key player in driving the future of manufacturing forward!
