As a Summer Intern at Snyk, you’ll get hands on experience in your field of study. You will work as part of the team to help us dominate the Developer Security world and help bring value to our customers. What is the role?💡
The role is a Security Engineer Intern, specifically focused on supporting Enterprise Security at Snyk.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with Security Assessments: Collaborate with security engineers to conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits of enterprise systems.
- Threat Modeling: Participate in threat modeling exercises to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response: Assist in responding to security incidents, including triage, investigation, and remediation.
- Security Tooling: Gain experience with various security tools and technologies, such as vulnerability scanners, intrusion detection systems, and SIEM solutions.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct research on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
- Automation: Contribute to the development of automation scripts and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of security operations.
What You'll Need:
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of security principles, including network security, application security, and system security.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) and programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Go).
- Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
