We are seeking a Front Office Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! Our clinic has been serving the San Fernando Valley for over 8 years. It serves a predominantly Spanish speaking population. This job requires you to work with physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage medical scheduling, including appointment bookings, cancellations, and reminders.
- Review documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to patient appointments.
- Handle patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing processes.
- Assist with medical collections and maintain accurate financial records.
- Maintain organized patient files and health information management systems.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and communication.
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support clinic operations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in healthcare as a medical assistant (1-2 year experience req)
- Urgent Care experience a PLUS
- GYN experience a PLUS
- Good communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- EHR experience
- Spanish Speaking
- Team player
- Professionalism and pleasant at all times
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
- Must possess a dependable automobile with insurance and a valid California Driver's License.
- Must submit to and pass a drug test and criminal background check as a precondition to employment.
- Must provide proof of vaccination for COVID-19 with booster, Hepatitis B, TDAP, and MMR. Must provide recent TB test.
- BLS/CPR certification required.
