POSITION: Group Facilitator

SUPERVISED BY: Program Manager, Clinical Director

JOB SUMMARY:
The group facilitator conducts groups on a wide variety of different topics pertaining to the program curriculum. Group facilitators will also document their notes into KIPU.

DUTIES:
• Run groups for 2 or more clients .
• Documentation in KIPU on group summary and individual's participation and feedback .
• Assign homework to clients who did not participate, and then upload assignments into client's charts in KIPU.
• Complies with company policies and procedures, quality assurance, safety, environmental, infection control, and complies with requirements of accreditation
and regulatory agencies.
• Groups will be centered and focused on practical recovery discussions and topics .Any other topics, discussions or activities will need to be approved by the clinical director.
• PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES: GF's will not engage in group activities: that promote his/her/their own personal religious or political beliefs, or perform tarot card
reading, hypnotherapy or hypnosis, or any other metaphysical style activities for clients. There will be no bullying, segregating, or discrimination of clients based on race, religion, background, age, etc.
• Media: Movies, Films, books and other materials should be related to recovery, relapse prevention, or spiritual themes. Movies/Films are supplemental to group teaching only: and to be shown will be no longer than 10 min max increments and only used to discuss and promote recovery, relapse prevention, and positive lifestyle choices. All forms of media will be pre approved by clinical director.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: High school diploma or higher

EXPERIENCE: Familiarity with 12-step programs and KIPU.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Annual TB and CPR/First-Aid.
