Danone North America has an opening for a Human Resources Generalist based in our Eugene, Oregon manufacturing facility, So Delicious.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES for HR Generalist:

  • Process employment changes including data gathering/reporting, facilitating completion of applicable documents, securing approvals, and submission in HR systems.
  • Administers full cycle recruitment processes for nonexempt and exempt positions, including but not limited to posting, resume review, sourcing, background checks, on-and off-boarding, and new hire orientation. This includes managing the union bid process.
  • Generates HR reports, analyzes, formats, and presents data as required using HR tools and systems.
  • Maintains employee physical and electronic files and records.
  • Assists with projects to include HR data audits, new policy and program development and implementation, and various other HR projects.
  • First point of contact for systems, process, and policy questions.
  • Ensures fair and consistent administration of all human resources policies and practices.
  • Administers and implements communication programs to increase employee engagement and morale.
  • Manages leave of absence process, facilitating communications between third party leave administrator, leadership, and employees.
  • Participates in employee and labor relations issues, including investigations, as needed/desired.
  • Provides training and development to managers and supervisors on policy, practices, and leadership skills.
  • Administers/processes payroll and time and attendance record keeping.
  • Participates in the development and delivery of HR-related training programs.
  • Responsible for compliance with records, reports, and communication board updates.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning human resources.
  • Implements local policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Corporate Ethics and Compliance procedures.

About You:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field, required. PHR or SHRM-CP certifications preferred.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of HR experience, required. Prior HR experience in a unionized manufacturing environment or industrial environment is preferred. Prior labor relations/union experience is highly desired.
  • You have computer proficiency especially in MS Office products (including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point) is required. Prior experience using Ceridian Dayforce HRIS and functional use of Smartsheets is preferred.
  • You have demonstrated organizational and attention to detail skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
  • You have demonstrated project management skills that range from conception to implementation and evaluation of projects.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have demonstrated ability to serve internal and external customers, collaborate, and prioritize workload.
  • You have demonstrated ability to build a strong internal and external network of resources, and to successfully partner with people of various levels and backgrounds.
  • You have willingness to apply “radical candor” in all interactions.
  • You have flexibility and willingness to learn by giving and receiving constructive feedback.
  • You have flexibility to attend occasional meetings on Saturday’s or come in early/stay late.
