Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the RN as Coordinator of Care and activities of the multidisciplinary team.
- Evaluate care delivery, patient satisfaction, and work with staff to resolve problems.
- Facilitate effective communication with all members of the healthcare team.
- Create and manage monthly time schedules, adjusting daily staffing as needed.
- Maintain competency as a team leader and actively participate in direct patient care.
- Evaluate staff performance and conduct performance appraisals.
- Coordinate staff development and assist with the orientation of new staff members.
- Coordinate unit activities in the absence of the Nurse Manager/Director.
- Participate in committees and supervise unit process improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all fire, disaster, and safety procedures and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in nursing.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
- Active and unencumbered State of Florida RN license.
- Current BCLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing.
- EKG competency (if applicable).
- ACLS, PALS, or NRP certification.
