Position Overview:
The Team Lead position is comprised of 3 primary roles (greeting customers at the pay stations, loading cars as they enter the tunnel, and general housekeeping), but must also be able to complete the Opening /Closing Procedures, DRB functions, and general tasks.
Duties may include:
Greeting:
- Allow the customer to pull up to the pay station
- Hand the customer a wash menu card
- Assist the customer with using the pay station and browsing the wash menu
- Explain to customer that gift cards and Fast Passes can be purchased from the pay station
- SELL- inform the customer of the benefits of being a Fast Pass member
- Smile, every customer MUST be greeted with a smile
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Loading Cars:
- Use BIG hand motions to pull the customer forward and straight onto the conveyor
- Inspect the car for damage
- Specifically point out damage to surveillance cameras (circle damaged area)
- Retract wash features that may cause damage to the vehicle or wash equipment, adjust the wash order, use DRB touch screen as needed
- Make sure DRB Que is correct with correct car
- Hand customer a towel and/or air freshener
- Smile and thumbs up, every customer must be loaded with a smile
Some additional duties may apply:
- Housekeeping (See Procedure on Open/Close Check Sheets)
- Cleaning parking lot
- Empty trash collectors
- Wash down bay
- Maintain a clean work space
- Clearing any clogs in vacuum system
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Opening and Closing Procedures:
- Complete checklists of procedures
- Direct CSR’s to assist with checklists
- Follow XPT Procedures- balance cassettes, till, cash on hand, and deposit
- Open/Close XPT correctly
- Follow all Procedures to ensure safety of employees and work equipment
DRB
- Knowledge of Selling, Upgrading, Downgrading, Combining, Terminating, Discounting, replacement tags, and Placement of Fast Pass, ability to complete on POS system
- Knowledge of all daily DRB Cashier functions, ability to complete on POS system
- Knowledge of paperwork procedures expected on file and submitted (GSR), ability to complete
- Able to reach DRB with problems unable to be addressed by yourself, Co-Workers, or management.
- Able to reach management with any issues or problems concerning any computer software issues or questions.
General Tasks:
- Daily Deposits
- Ability to work with your site manager on behavior issues with a CSR
- Review and sign off on Customer Experience Report (CER) Procedures
- Certify completed training of new employees (with Manager assistance)
- Report any instances to manager (tardiness, call offs insubordination machine malfunctions, chemicals spills, CER, etc.)
- Complete tasks assigned by Management
Physical, Mental Demands, Safety and Working Conditions
- Position is predominately outside and weather conditions can change sporadically
- Position is constantly standing up and moving around to actively assist our customers
- Employee safety and self-awareness should be utilized at all times around our equipment and customer automobiles
- You may be asked to lift/move/handle up to, but not limited to 50 pounds of material
- Car wash locations can create wet hazardous conditions and safety precautions should be met for compliance
