We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all laundry is washed, dried, folded, and presented to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Operate washing machines and dryers efficiently to launder various items including linens, towels, and clothes.
- Sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry according to established procedures.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring garments are treated with care.
- Inspect items for stains or damage before processing and report any issues to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times.
- Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and operating machinery.
- Assist in inventory management of laundry supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of laundry tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays as needed.
