What are the responsibilities and job description for the Car Wash Attendant position at Soapy Joe's Group, Inc.?
The Car Wash Attendant serves as the foundation of our car wash team. The role of the CWA is to provide a safe, speedy, clean, and friendly experience to our car wash members and customers. This is accomplished through keeping our sites well maintained, clean, and free of trash; assisting our members into the wash using proper loading procedures, and ensuring that our services & facilities are functioning and ready to use for our customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Site maintenance and beautification
Keep car wash vacuums maintained, ready to use, and clear of clogs / debris
Empty trash cans to ensure they are not full or overflowing at any time
Perform lot maintenance to ensure the grounds are free of displaced trash and debris
Keep landscaping clear of weeds and litter
Maintain restrooms to a high standard so they are usable for employees and customers
Collect and wash used towels, and maintain appropriate levels of clean towels to ensure they are available for customer usage
2. Tunnel loading and preventative maintenance
Use proper loading procedures to ensure customers are loaded correctly and safely onto the car wash conveyor
Monitor customers in the wash to ensure there are no collisions
Attend to the queue to ensure that customers are provided the correct wash
Provide customers with a welcoming smile as they enter the tunnel and offer an air freshener
Conduct preventative maintenance in the tunnel as required including pit cleaning, equipment cleaning, and wall / floor cleaning
3. Customer service
This role will interact with customers on the lot at the vacuums, parking lot, and when loading into the tunnel. The employee is expected to provide welcoming customer service by smiling, acknowledging, and answering any questions customers may have during these interactions.
Requirements
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent
PHYSICAL
Required to be physically capable of executing all essential functions to perform the job with or without accommodation : >
80% of the time the employee in this role will be in physically demanding conditions (sun, rain, wind, heat, confined spaces, high volumes of traffic and high-volume noise and sound).
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, nights and weekends.
A positive attitude and ability to be a friendly, team-player
Attend and perform well at any training programs assigned.
Able to move about to access a variety of tools and office equipment
Able to consistently operate a computer or other electronic device
Able to ascend or descend a ladder, crouch or crawl
Ability to lift to 50 lbs., lift overhead, twist and turn body when appropriate
Must be able to communicate clearly through both verbal and written form
