JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction and general supervision of the Director, the Program Support Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting teachers, students, and parents/guardians, providing professional development training, and performing various program support duties to ensure that smooth operation of SOAR Academy.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance to ensure the effective operation of the district-wide alternative and personalized learning programs.
- Co-leads the development of the school improvement plan and ensures the director’s school-wide vision is implemented in school improvement efforts, in addition, engage in superior instructional leadership by investing and mobilizing teachers to achieve the collective goals of the school; co-lead the implementation of school priorities in support of the school-wide vision as aligned to the school and district program school improvement plan.
- Provides leadership and coordination in the regular instructional program by leading all student support and operational functions, including but not limited to: RTI, 504s, PEC, Foster Home Satellite Location, District and State Assessments, Infinite Campus and Reporting, school and program operations, and the evaluation of all classified staff.
- Works with the director to implement goals that are aligned to the national standards for alternative education and virtual learning, in addition to goals and objectives that are applicable to the school improvement plan; progress monitor and evaluate the district programs and school operations to ensure effective implementation and growth in student achievement.
- Assists in establishing and maintaining effective learning goals as aligned to national standards for alternative education and virtual learning.
- Oversees and enforces guidelines and rules for student behavior and conduct established in Code of Conduct
- Co-leads the planning, organizing and implementation of school programs and activities aligned to the national standards for alternative education and virtual learning.
- Coordinates the study, selection, and proper accounting of instructional materials, media, and equipment for the school program.
- Observes and evaluates school personnel as required or assigned.
- Prepares required reports and paperwork on topics such as attendance, student conduct and behavior, programs, injury reports, communication, etc.
- Cultivates own growth, sustainability and success through active participation in district-wide professional development and by seeking out high-impact growth opportunities
- Knowledge and expertise in the area of special education and education policy and law to ensure the effective operation of the school and district programs.
- Supports teachers and students in their educational and developmental goals.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor or District staff.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Master’s Degree is required. Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable, successful experience as a teacher, academic coach or similar role and a solid understanding of trauma informed approaches and/or restorative practices strongly desired.

CERTIFICATION, LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to obtain clearance certificate from GaPSC.
- GaPSC certification in Education Leadership – Tier I at L-5 or higher or be eligible for a non-renewable Education Leadership while completing Education Leadership.
Salary/Terms/Benefits:
- 200 day work year.
- Salary based on certification and experience; placement on the Adopted Salary Schedule and position supplement(s).

Salary : $64,277 - $105,228
