What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Behavior Support Specialist position at Soar Autism Center?
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in a clinic setting, ensuring a high standard of care.Execute intervention plans developed by our skilled BCBAs, following ABA therapy principles.
- Foster strong, supportive relationships with families, regularly communicating progress and goals.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development, staying informed about best practices in ABA therapy.
Qualifications:
- Preference for candidates pursuing or holding a degree in Child Development, Psychology, or a related field.
- Capability to obtain and maintain RBT certification (Soar provides paid training).
- Previous experience working with children, coupled with a genuine passion for their development.
- Reliable transportation to training and local centers; punctuality is a must.
- Ability to meet physical requirements, including frequent sitting, standing, quick movements, lifting up to 50 lbs., and engaging in floor-based play with children.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including computers and tablets.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
