What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical RBT Trainer (BCBA) - South Tempe position at Soar Autism Center?
Soar Autism Center is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive life-shaping services that support them to thrive. We prioritize early intervention, comprehensive supportive services, and positive, developmentally-appropriate learning that meets the needs of each unique child and family. Specifically, we focus on integrated autism care and a play-based model of ABA therapy based on the principles of the Early Start Denver Model. What you will be doing :
- The Clinical RBT Trainer is responsible for new trainee growth and development at one to two local centers (arriving to their local center after 2 weeks of Centralized Training)
- Support initial and ongoing RBT competency evaluations for new and existing RBTs
- Support 3-4 case supervisors as they grow their clinical and decision making skills
- Provide 20 weekly hours of billable supervision, focused on providing supervision to trainees during their first 4 weeks at Soar, and case supervisors preparing for the BCBA exam
- Host bi-weekly group training and discussion sessions for new trainees at their home center
- Build trainees skill sets in ESDM practices and ABA strategies, including joint activity routines, responding to challenging behavior, data collection / documentation, and evidence based teaching strategies
- Organize and host quarterly, center level continuing education events for BCBAs and RBTs (attendance optional)
- Collaborate with the Partner Clinician and Center Operations Director regarding RBT performance and needed performance improvement initiatives
- Act as a clinical leader in the center on days when the Partner Clinician is not present
- Achieve ESDM certification within 2 years of starting your role as a Clinical RBT Trainer
