Early Intervention Occupational Therapist Opportunity
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Early Intervention Occupational Therapist to join our team at Soar Autism Center. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with young children aged 2-6 years in a center-based environment, providing naturalistic occupational therapy and developing targeted interventions to enhance their gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding abilities, and daily activities.
About the Role
In this role, you will:
- Design and execute occupational therapy sessions for young children, focusing on their individual needs and goals.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical domains, including ABA, speech therapy, and psychology.
- Provide coaching and mentorship to Registered Behavior Technicians, guiding them in integrating OT goals into their therapy sessions.
- Maintain regular communication with team members and families, revising treatment plans as needed, and ensuring effective progress monitoring.
Requirements
- A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a related field.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with children with autism or related developmental disorders.
- Strong understanding of early intervention approaches and commitment to integrated care.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting child development.
