This is an advanced BCBA leadership role designed for an experienced BCBA (minimum 5 years of experience) who is interested in both clinical leadership (Partner Clinician) and training & mentorship (Localized Clinical Trainer).

About This Role
Soar Autism Center seeks a Partner Clinician to enhance our interdisciplinary team in Colorado Springs, dedicated to providing exceptional care for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This is an advanced BCBA leadership role designed for an experienced BCBA (minimum 5 years of experience) who is interested in both clinical leadership (Partner Clinician) and training & mentorship (Localized Clinical Trainer).
This Role Will Evolve Over Three Phases
Phase 1: Learn the ESDM Care Model (Hybrid Training in Denver) for ~3 months
- Work as a BCBA at one of Soar’s Denver-area clinics to master the ESDM-based care approach.
- Receive hands-on training alongside Soar’s interdisciplinary team (speech and OT).
- Travel regularly (1-2 days per week) between Denver and Colorado Springs in preparation for the center launch.
- Begin transitioning into leadership responsibilities while maintaining a BCBA caseload.
- Act as a founding clinician in Colorado Springs, supporting the opening and stabilization of the clinic.
- Provide direct therapy while also mentoring new BCBAs and training RBTs & Case Supervisors.
- Fully transition into a dual leadership role:
- 50% Partner Clinician: Oversee clinical quality, mentor BCBAs, and support clinical operations.
- 50% Clinical Trainer: Provide clinical training & competency development for new and existing RBTs and Case Supervisors.
BCBA Responsibilities (Phase 1 & 2)
- Deliver direct therapy and oversee case supervision for children ages 2-6 in a center-based setting.
- Conduct multidisciplinary assessments and collaborate with speech therapists, OTs, and psychologists.
- Implement and oversee ESDM-based interventions to ensure high-quality, developmentally appropriate care.
- Monitor client progress, update treatment plans, and coach families in their child’s development.
- Lead Clinical Excellence: Oversee the ESDM-based care model in the Colorado Springs clinic.
- BCBA Mentorship: Provide clinical guidance & performance feedback for BCBAs and Case Supervisors.
- Care Quality & Outcomes: Conduct clinical quality assessments and participate in case reviews.
- Operational Collaboration: Work with the Colorado Clinical President & Center Operations Director to ensure clinic success.
- RBT & Case Supervisor Training:
- Support new RBT trainees as they transition from Centralized Training to their home center.
- Provide ongoing competency evaluations for new and existing RBTs.
- Coach 3-4 Case Supervisors as they develop clinical and decision-making skills.
- Structured Training & Development:
- Provide 20 hours per week of billable supervision, focusing on:
- New trainees’ first 4 weeks at Soar.
- Case Supervisors preparing for the BCBA exam.
- Host bi-weekly training & discussion sessions for new trainees.
- Organize quarterly CEU events for BCBAs and RBTs.
- Clinical Leadership & Performance Support:
- Act as a clinical leader when the Partner Clinician is not present.
- Collaborate with Center Operations & Partner Clinicians on RBT performance improvements.
- ESDM Certification Requirement: Achieve ESDM certification within 2 years of starting as a Clinical Trainer.
- BCBA Certification & Minimum Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field.
- Experience in Early Intervention ABA (preferred background in Child Development or Early Childhood Education).
- At least 5 year of BCBA experience, with a strong preference for experience within Soar Autism Center.
- Familiarity with NDBIs and other naturalistic care models
- A strong interest in clinical leadership and developing expertise in Soar’s care model.
- Flexibility for Travel: Willingness to travel to the Denver area for training and onboarding before transitioning to a Colorado Springs-based role.
