Soar Autism Center is hiring for an SLP (Speech-Language Pathologist) to enhance our interdisciplinary team focused on delivering outstanding care to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Role Summary
As an SLP at Soar, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD
- Developing and executing detailed treatment plans aimed at improving the communication abilities of children aged 2-6, employing a diverse array of therapeutic techniques and instruments
- Collaborating extensively with our multidisciplinary team, including behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive care
- Actively involving families in the treatment process by providing them with education, resources, and support to foster their child's speech and language development
- Regularly evaluating and documenting the progress of each child, fine-tuning interventions as necessary to maximize effectiveness
- Desire to be a part of an organization working to advance the standard of autism therapy
- Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program
- License to practice speech pathology in the state of your chosen center (i.e., Arizona or Colorado)
- Preference to SLPs with 3 years of experience, but also open to new SLPs starting their career
- Prior experience with AAC or interest in learning from our clinical teams
