Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team at Soar Autism Center in Peoria, Arizona.
Your primary responsibility will be to assess and treat children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using evidence-based methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children with ASD
- Develop and implement tailored treatment plans to improve the communication abilities of children aged 2-6
- Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
- Engage families in the treatment process by providing education, resources, and support to foster their child's speech and language development
- Regularly evaluate and document the progress of each child, making adjustments to interventions as needed
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program
- License to practice speech pathology in the state of Arizona or Colorado
- Prior experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is preferred but not required
- Ability to connect and engage with young children
