Position Summary
SOAR Partners is seeking a sharp, enthusiastic, and values-aligned Staff Consultant with a background in accounting and an interest in cross-functional consulting. This is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional (1–3 years of experience, including internships) eager to grow in a fast-paced, purpose-driven firm where high performance is rewarded with rapid advancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accounting and finance support to nonprofit and government sector clients, including general ledger analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, and close processes
- Assist with strategic consulting projects, including grants management, fundraising planning, and operational analysis
- Write clearly and persuasively for client deliverables, including memos, reports, and proposals
- Participate in internal firm-building activities, research efforts, and client presentations
- Collaborate cross-functionally within a highly supportive, agile, and entrepreneurial team
- Continuously learn and grow, with increasing responsibility over time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (required)
- 1–3 years of relevant experience, including internships (public accounting, audit, nonprofit finance, or consulting preferred)
- Strong writing and communication skills (writing sample may be requested)
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and time management skills
- High comfort level with Excel and financial systems; exposure to QuickBooks or similar tools is a plus
- Willingness to learn about nonprofit and government funding systems
- Commitment to excellence, humility, and a team-first mentality
Position Details
- Location: Hybrid (Tulsa-based, with some remote flexibility – ie, Remote Fridays)
- Hours: 30 hours per week, with growth into a full-time salaried position based on performance
- Compensation: Starting at $42,500/year (prorated based on hours), with benefits eligibility based on hours
