What are the responsibilities and job description for the Estimator position at SOAR Real Estate?
Estimator (Construction) - Industrial Projects. Warehouse, Loading Docks, Parking Lots, etc.
Design Build Experience is a MUST (conceptual).
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project costs and negotiate contracts effectively.
As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects are accurately priced and delivered on time, contributing to the overall success of our construction operations.
Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Conduct thorough market research to determine pricing for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Monitor project budgets and implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively negotiate contracts and manage relationships with subcontractors.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with cost control methods and project management techniques.
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
