Top Real Estate Developer / Construction company looking for an Inhouse Legal Compliance Officer.
Legal and Compliance Responsibilities
- Execute all trade Contracts and Purchase Orders
Memorialize and record all construction exhibits to assist in enforcing and adjudicating any future discrepancies
- Work with outside counsel on complex or atypical trade agreements
- Process and track all COI's
- Manage Certificates of Capital Improvement
- Separate Supply and Install contracts where applicable to isolate insurance exposure
- Manage subcontractor reporting for labor and wage requirements as required by financing
Covenants (421a).
The Counsel will be responsible for: contracts with Subs, setting vendors up in accounting systems, Insurance compliance.
Experience
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the NY bar.
- Proven experience in Construction law.
- Compliance.
- Strong skills in legal drafting and negotiation are essential.
Accounting Responsibilities
Act as a point of communication between construction team and accounting with vendors and subcontractors
This is a contract role - covering a maternity leave for 5 or 6 months.
Job Types: Contract, Temporary
Pay: $10,000.00 - $12,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
