Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding of medical records, and facilitating timely payment from insurance companies and patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and billing procedures to maintain compliance and optimize revenue cycle management.
Duties
- Utilize coding systems such as ICD-9 and ICD-10 for proper classification of diagnoses and procedures.
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, ensuring adherence to their guidelines.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations, coding standards, and insurance policies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of healthcare systems.
- Experience with medical billing and coding, including familiarity with DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) systems.
- Knowledge of medical records management practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for interaction with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
- Certification in Medical Billing or Coding is preferred but not required.
