Role description We are seeking highly skilled Project Engineers to oversee and ensure the quality of our construction projects, specifically focusing on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, Electrical Systems, General Multidisciplinary Oversight, Clean Utilities, and MEP / Controls.
While these roles are listed together, we are considering one candidate per specific role to ensure specialized expertise and attention to detail. These roles are essential to ensure that our facilities are built to the highest standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse / Intralogistics Building - MEP Focus :
- Conduct detailed reviews of MEP-related technical submittals, specifications, and drawings.
- Liaise with contractors and vendors to ensure MEP systems meet design and operational requirements.
- Perform field inspections to verify the quality and accuracy of MEP installations against project documentation.
- Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems during the installation phase.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve conflicts and ensure timely progress of MEP deliverables.
- Support the integration of pharmaceutical-grade equipment into the warehouse / intralogistics building.
- Maintain documentation of installation progress and quality assurance checks.
Core & Shell - Electrical Systems :
Review and approve electrical submittals, including wiring diagrams, data sheets, and electrical load calculations.Ensure that electrical systems are designed and installed in compliance with industry standards, including fire protection and safety requirements.Oversee the installation and commissioning of Siemens BMS / FMS systems to ensure proper functionality.Collaborate with design engineers and contractors to address any discrepancies in electrical system designs or installations.Audit fieldwork to confirm the accuracy of electrical installations and connections.Facilitate the resolution of technical queries (RFIs) related to electrical systems.Provide regular reports on the progress and quality of electrical installations.Fit-Up - General Multidisciplinary Oversight :
Conduct thorough reviews of architectural, structural, mechanical, and HVAC submittals and data sheets.Monitor field installations across multiple disciplines, ensuring alignment with approved designs and specifications.Act as a liaison between contractors, vendors, and design teams to resolve design or construction issues.Provide oversight on the fit-up process to ensure timely completion of tasks within budget and schedule constraints.Coordinate inspections and testing of installed systems to verify operational performance.Prepare progress reports and maintain detailed records of all submittals and approvals.Foster collaboration among project teams to minimize delays and conflicts during the fit-up phase.Clean Utilities Focus :
Oversee the installation of clean utility systems, ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical-grade standards.Review and approve designs, submittals, and specifications for clean utilities.Conduct field inspections to verify the quality and functionality of installed clean utility systems.Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure proper installation and integration of clean utilities.Identify and resolve issues related to clean utilities, ensuring alignment with project requirements.Support commissioning and validation processes for clean utility systems.Monitor project progress and provide updates to stakeholders regarding clean utility installations.MEP / Controls Focus :
Monitor MEP installations in the field, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards.Verify that NN-supplied equipment is properly connected to MEP systems, including utilities and controls.Oversee controls scope, such as Siemens BMS and FMS systems, to ensure proper functionality and integration.Liaise with contractors and vendors to address installation challenges and ensure timely resolutions.Perform audits of MEP systems to ensure alignment with design specifications and regulatory standards.Manage documentation related to MEP installations, including as-built drawings and connection details.Provide regular updates to stakeholders on MEP installation progress and any potential risks or delays.Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Strong construction experience, particularly with MEP, Electrical Systems, and Clean Utilities installations.Proven experience in quality control and multidisciplinary oversight.Familiarity with pharmaceutical-grade standards and requirements.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.Experience in pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industries is highly preferred.Availability to start in March / April is preferred.Additional Preferred Skills Across All Roles :
Familiarity with construction and utility systems in pharmaceutical environments.Certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) are advantageous.Proficiency in construction management software and tools for documentation and reporting.Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
