Introduction / Purpose / Position Summary :
The Director of Field Leadership Development will design and execute a comprehensive leadership development strategy aimed at enhancing the skills capabilities and performance of fieldbased leaders and emerging leaders in a rare disease commercial organization. This role focuses on building worldclass training and development programs fostering leadership excellence and aligning with the strategic goals of the organization. The Director will partner closely with Sales Marketing Market Access and HR teams to create initiatives that enable field leaders to drive business success in a highly dynamic a complex healthcare environment as well as identify and support emerging field leaders. The candidate should demonstrate a passion for creating and delivering learning journeys to support leaders at all levels across the commercial organization. Additionally the candidate will need to thrive in a fastpaced environment make good decisions with limited information gain consensus with multiple stakeholders and manage multiple levels of leadership while leading work and deliverables.
Essential Responsibilities / Scope of the Job :
- Develop and maintain strong business partnerships with commercial leaders at every level to understand business goals and strategies and identify opportunities for learning and development programs or support
- Evaluate training programs curriculum tools platforms and corresponding training materials for multiple layers of management to ensure alignment with business goals and strategies
- Champion development delivery and management of learning journeys across multiple roles / levels
- Proactively conduct ongoing feedback discussions with leaders and key stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and relevancy of all learning and development program content
- Collaborates and communicates closely with crossfunctional partners (e.g. HR)
- Manage the identification and selection of vendors as well as subsequent relationships and projects related to learning and development programs
- Attend appropriate training classes to maintain an advanced level of knowledge
- Forecast future needs manage budget and achieve financial targets
Qualifications :
A Bachelors degree (science or business preferred) or an equivalent combination of relevant education and applicable job experience may be considered. MBA preferred. A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in pharmaceutical or medical sales and training with a minimum of 5 years in a training and / or sales leadership role. A focus on leadership development is preferred. Requires prior pharmaceutical sales experience pharmaceutical / biotech sales management experience plus vendor and contract management. Experience with product launches and rare disease experience is highly desired.

Additional Information :
The base salary pay range for this role is $175000$230000 annually. Actual pay for this position will take into account factors such as experience and location. In addition to a base salary this position is also eligible for a competitive 401k match short and longterm incentives medical dental vision STD / LTD and life insurance benefits in addition to other health and wellness programs and offerings.
