Account Receivable Specialist - Law Firm

Sobo & Sobo is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist in our Middletown, NY, office. In this role, you will manage incoming payments, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure timely invoicing. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills and a customer service mindset, enabling effective communication with clients regarding their accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record incoming payments accurately using accounting software such as QuickBooks or Quicken.
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
• Generate and send out invoices promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions and customer interactions.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies related to billing or payment issues through effective customer service.
• Support month-end closing processes by preparing necessary reports and documentation related to accounts receivable.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes related to invoicing and collections.

Skills:

• This role is for someone with experience working with numbers and Accounts Receivable.
• Familiarity with accounting software a major plus (e.g., QuickBooks)
• Organizational and time-management skills
• Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
