Summary
The Custodial Technician is responsible for general maintenance and repair of facility flooring, overhead and “high bay” cleaning and safety of all guest and employee areas. This position supports operations in ensuring use-ready and compliant facilities, completion of preventive maintenance, and the completion of computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) related documentation. The Custodial Technician provides feedback and recommendations to management on relevant topics including the planning of custodial work, project management tasks, and the investigation and resolution of unusual situations.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform, as part of a team, a wide variety of tasks to maintain facility in a best in class for guest experience.
- Interface with customers, vendors, and team members in support of facility initiatives, work request completion, or other duties as assigned in a professional and team-oriented manner.
- Utilize positive communication and interpersonal skills with guests, (internal and external), at all times.
- Move furniture, trash containers and various work assignments as assigned.
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.
- Embodies Soboba Casino Resort’s cultural values and aligns daily actions with department goals.
- Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and uniformity throughout the casino and other designated areas.
- Perform extensive cleaning of carpet, upholstery, tiles, hard floors, slot chairs, and restroom floors to include overhead or “high bay” cleaning of ceilings, vents, signage, and chandeliers throughout Soboba Casino Resort property.
- Safely utilize lift equipment to reach areas to be cleaned.
- Understand the use of and follow proper usage instruction of industrial cleaning chemicals and machinery.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of custodial equipment.
- Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
- Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.
Education / Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age, or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- Ability to use a carpet extractor, large area vacuum and buffer.
- Ability to use a lift, back pack vacuum and power washer.
- Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Ability to work as part of a team, and independently.
- Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
Certificates, licenses and registration
- Must possess a California Driver’s License and a clean driving record (less than 3 points).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
- Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
