SUMMARY
The Groundskeeper is responsible for the Landscape maintenance inclusive of sweeping walks, mowing, edging and watering lawn areas, trees and shrubs, weeding, tree trimming. While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate, with sometimes-high noise levels. The employee is required to use the hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is required to sit. The employee is required to use his feet to walk, dig, or climb.
DUTIES AND RESPONISBILITIES
Although other duties may be assigned, the essential duties include the following:
- Responsible for operating larger pieces of equipment as well as triplex type units.
- Mow as trained
- Will be asked from time-to-time to perform all tasks associated with maintenance.
- Perform all tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with safety guidelines
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
- 2 years’ experience in maintenance operations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Friendly, punctual, clean and neat appearance and enjoys working with people
- Self-motivated and hard working
- Must have the ability to operate all types of equipment used in maintenance and should possess a valid state driver’s license and transportation to and from the workplace
- Physical condition must allow long periods of standing or sitting and regular lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing, moving and pushing small to large articles.
- Able to read and communicate in English
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally life and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
REQUIRED
- A current California Driver's License
