Systems Engineer needed for an opportunity with SOC's client to work in Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
Responsibilities
This position is for a Systems Engineer (SE) to lead / execute systems engineering activities including management, organization and verification of complex design requirements, within a systems engineering environment for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). The SE plays a critical role in the delivery of the Requirements Management, Configuration Management, Human Factors Engineering, and other aspects of the Systems Engineering program for Bechtel work products and designs, as well as for coordination of the scope and integration of work with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs.
Qualifications
- Possess detailed understanding of Systems Engineering principles and methods, requirements management principles, and methods
- Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria using independent judgment with limited oversight in executing a systems engineering program
- Knowledgeable of industry / regulatory codes and standards pertinent to the systems engineering discipline
- Knowledgeable of the application and coordination of systems engineering tools, such as CRADLE by 3SL, IBM Rationale DOORS or Innoslate by Spec Innovations, on a program or project
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Experience with Microsoft office programs, and other common computer programs
