What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at Socal Mobile Medical Services LLC?
We are looking for Phlebotomists to join our staff in Redlands, CA. The ideal candidate will have previous experience drawing blood, be able to work in a team environment and will possess an intimate knowledge of our customers' needs. The Phlebotomist is responsible for conducting blood draws, ensuring that all samples meet the required quality control standards, and sending specimens off to our processing department for further analysis. This is a challenging but rewarding job that offers significant opportunities for advancement, and candidates must have experience performing all duties of the position with no supervision, as well as a commitment to maintaining the highest quality standards.
Must have valid California-issued Phlebotomy License (CPT I or CPT II)
Responsibilities:
- Have an understanding of basic human anatomy and physiology.
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Perform skilled specimen collections. blood draws/venipunctures
- Performs venipunctures on various parts of the body.
- Draw blood from a patient in a medical/post acute setting.
- Ensure specimens are properly and accurately labeled for processing at the lab.
- Examine the blood to ensure that the appropriate amount has been drawn.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Per diem
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
