The Soccer Shots Full Time Coach (Flex Coach) is a full-time, salaried coaching role with Soccer Shots Little Rock. As a Flex Coach, you will be responsible for coaching 30-35 sessions per week , whether that be at your assigned locations or coverage locations on day(s) or time(s) that your assigned locations do not have classes. As a salaried employee, you are provided benefits unavailable to part-time or per-session employees. Below are all benefits provided, as well as the expectations needed to perform your job duties.
Compensation :
As a Flex Coach for Soccer Shots Little Rock, you will be paid a set salary amount weekly throughout the year. This amount will remain constant regardless of how many classes were coached during that time. Similar to per-session coaches, Flex Coaches are eligible for raises based on progression to the next coaching level. Eligibility is determined based on evaluation scores, attendance record, and administrative responsibilities.
Working Schedule :
As a Flex Coach, you are expected to be flexible and available for all times that you could potentially be scheduled. While most of this availability will be utilized for coaching your own schedule, you might be asked to cover for other coaches, help transition new coaches to their locations, or perform administrative tasks such as flyer & final reminder deliveries, flyer tables to promote our programs or assisting with distribution.
As a Flex Coach, you are expected to be available for the entirety of the work week, with exceptions given to your assigned afternoon(s) off. One of those afternoons will always be Saturday, while the other will be a day assigned during the
week. This afternoon might change from season to season based upon the current scheduling needs, however once assigned, you will never be asked or required to coach
during that time. Within that availability, you are expected to coach30-35 sessions each week.
May be scheduled during weeks where coaching schedules are not full.
Expectations :
As a Flex Coach for Soccer Shots, there is a certain level of expectations for all of the job requirements outlined above. It is imperative that these performance levels are met in order to allow the organization to continue to grow and pursue excellence.
The expectation is that our Flex Coaches maintain the highest standard of a Soccer Shots coach, so it is imperative that all policies and procedures arebeing followed every time they step foot on Soccer Island. This includes, but is not limited to :
Child Disciplinary Process
Flex Coaches are expected to complete all administrative tasks, including :
As a salaried employee, you are considered "on the clock" during all scheduled shifts. If a coach is needed for any shift and you are not scheduled, you may be required to cover or assist.
All Flex Coaches are expected to attend all Soccer Shots-sponsored team events.
As a salaried employee, you are compensated between seasons and must be available to assist with office and coaching staff tasks on non-coaching days.
Benefits :
As a full-time salaried employee of Soccer Shots Little Rock, you receive the following benefits :
Two scheduled afternoons off per week (one always being Saturday).
10 vacation days
Refer to Soccer Shots Little Rocks Request Off Policy for procedures on how PTO is earned and used.
As a Flex Coach with Soccer Shots Little Rock, you do not have any overarching responsibilities that would put you into an exempt salary position, so you are entitled to overtime pay for all hours worked over 40 in a single work week. However, because of the manner in which hours are paid based on our 30-45 minute sessions, it is extremely unlikely that any coach, per-session or salary, will actually exceed 40 hours worth of work each week. That being said, we recognize that coaching 40 sessions, even if they are only 30 minutes, is a significant amount of work, so we want to compensate our Flex Coaches accordingly.
In addition to PTO, Flex Coaches will receive their full salary during weeks including the following holidays when Soccer Shots Little Rock is closed :
Good Friday through Easter Sunday
Full-time, salaried employees are eligible for company health insurance.
If enrolled, Soccer Shots Little Rock will pay 50% of the monthly premium , with the remaining 50% deducted from the employees paycheck.
All Flex Coaches are assigned 6 morning and 4 afternoon shifts per week, so they will get a bi-weekly gas stipend added to each paycheck. The amount of this stipend will be determined monthly using the AAA Average Gas price for Arkansas for a single gallon of gas, multiplied by the 20 morning / afternoon shifts they were assigned during the paycycle. This number will not go down, even if the coach did not attend a given morning or afternoon.
