What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreational Youth Soccer Coach position at Soccer Stars of South Denver?
We are looking to hire an energetic and fun-loving Youth Soccer Coach who will lead our children in fun and educational activities while ensuring safety for all. Our ideal candidate has prior experience working with children (as a sports coach, teacher, camper, babysitter or leader). This position is excellent for someone who has an interest in pursuing early childhood education or child development!
The Company
Backed by 20 years of experience, Super Soccer Stars is one of the largest nationwide providers of enrichment soccer programs in the United States. At Soccer Stars, it's our goal to teach and build fundamental soccer skills from ages 1-14 years old in a fun and non-competitive environment. We use the soccer ball as a catalyst to provide a program that meets the developmental needs of the whole child physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally. The long-term impact will allow us to create healthy habits at a young age, teach life skills, and increase youth activities across the board.
Our Coaches
Our coaches use individual attention to ensure every child is engaged, has fun, is safe, and learns something in every class. We use a non-competitive approach to ensure classes are fun in a stress-free environment. Our coaches use positive reinforcement to encourage children to do better and celebrate success. Finally, our coaches have a blast. They are open-minded and know that coaching is a continuous journey. All coaches are open to feedback and strive to be better by attending regular training and following the Super Soccer Stars Coaching Manual.
The Schedule
- Three available shifts:
- Weekday mornings, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 11:30 PM
- Weekday afternoons, Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
- Weekend mornings, Saturday - Sunday, 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM
- Coaches can expect approximately *5-15 hours a week.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging soccer training sessions for youth players, focusing on skill development and teamwork.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all participants, ensuring safety and enjoyment during practices and games.
- Monitor players' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance their performance.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding player development and team activities.
- Collaborate with other coaches to organize and participate in tournaments and events.

- New Head Coaches can earn from $22/hr up to $30/hr depending on experience. More experienced candidates may be able to pursue accelerated advancement within our system. Must be available weekday afternoons to be eligable for sign on bonus.

Qualifications
- An outgoing and expressive personality
- Enthusiasm for working with children (must be comfortable working with ages 2-10 years old).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Passionate about soccer and willing to learn and teach age-appropriate soccer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to undergo a background check.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
