What are the responsibilities and job description for the Post-Doctoral Fellow / Psychologist position at SociAbility?
SociAbility is a premier private practice with over fifteen years’ experience serving children, teens, and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, social anxiety, and mood disorders. Conveniently located in Chicagoland's north shore, our passionate, collaborative staff of therapists help clients reach their goals on a daily basis. We are currently seeking a postdoctoral fellow with a passion to join our team. Consideration will be given to PsyD and PhD candidates with successful completion of internship and experience conducting psychological evaluations. Special consideration will be given to applicants with direct experience serving the neurodivergent community.
The Postdoctoral Fellowship is a full-time, 12-month program, beginning September 2025. Clinical opportunities include conducting initial diagnostic assessments and comprehensive evaluations across the lifespan and for a range of presentations, as well as holding a therapeutic caseload and co-facilitating group treatment activities focused on supporting neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan. Successful applicants must have an interest in collaborating with other staff members and working as a team, sharing knowledge and resources with others, developing leadership skills, and finding creative solutions to meeting the needs of our community. Evening and weekend hours may be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) (note: ALL degree requirements including your dissertation must be completed prior to the start date).
- Successful completion of an APA Accredited and/or APPIC-Member Doctoral Internship program.
- Must have strong clinical skills in treatment, assessment and crisis intervention for providing individual and family therapy to children, teens, and adults who experience social, behavioral, and emotional difficulties (including but not limited to autism, anxiety, mood disorders, ADHD, etc.).
