Top-Tier Investment Bank in New York City is seeking an Attorney for their Commercial Finance division at the VP level!
Responsibilities:
- Renders legal advice and services to the Investment Bank commercial finance lines of business and distressed asset recovery team in the Americas
- Drafts, reviews and negotiates documentation (such as commitment and engagement letters, credit agreements, receivables purchase agreements, security agreements and guarantees) for commercial finance lines of business and distressed asset recovery team; interprets agreements and advises on their legal effect.
- Counsels and advises Head Office Legal Department and other legal departments in the network from time to time on matters of New York law, U.S. Federal law and U.S. market practice.
- Identifies and analyzes the legal risk associated with new products, activities and technologies.
- Maintains and updates form agreements used to document transactions for supported lines of business.
- Assists in projects for the Legal Department
- Supervises and manages assigned matters referred to outside counsel.
Qualifications:
- Admitted to the Bar of the State of New York
- J.D. Degree
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in-house (in a bank or financial institution) and/or at a law firm with experience in some or all of the following areas: secured and unsecured bilateral and syndicated lending, acquisition finance, trade and receivables finance, commercial real estate finance, project finance, structured finance, bankruptcy and restructuring, with an emphasis on cross border transactions.
- Excellent analytical, written and communication skills.
- Solution-oriented; delivers accurate, pragmatic and actionable legal advice.
Salary : $175,000 - $200,000
