Bank in Midtown, Manhattan is seeking a Director of Data Governance!
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust data governance framework and ensuring accurate and timely compliance reporting, with a specific focus on managing compliance data from third parties.
- Monitor and analyze compliance reporting metrics related to third-party data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of concern, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Operations, and Risk Management, to ensure the effective implementation and ongoing maintenance of the third-party data governance framework.
- Establish and maintain a third-party data inventory and data lineage documentation to ensure a clear understanding of data sources, flows, and dependencies.
- Design and implement automated compliance reporting processes, leveraging data visualization and business intelligence tools to provide accurate and timely insights.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to identify and prioritize data requirements for internal compliance monitoring, and the development of KRIs and KPIs.
- Develop and execute data governance and reporting strategy that aligns with business goals and growth plans.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement efforts to meet evolving demands.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive third-party data governance framework, including policies, procedures, and standards for compliance data management, quality, and security.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 10 of experience in compliance, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with senior management, regulators, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to develop and inspire a high-performing data governance and reporting team.
- In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality management practices, and data security principles.
- Strong understanding of compliance regulations, reporting requirements, and performance monitoring practices, particularly in the financial services industry.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive data governance initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data requirements into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis, data visualization, and business intelligence tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake or QlikView.
Salary : $140,000 - $170,000
