Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements using Open table.
- Maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours and communicate wait times accurately to guests.
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Assist with phone etiquette by answering calls promptly and professionally, taking reservations, and providing information about the restaurant.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Assist in managing the overall guest experience by ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or food service role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
