Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for customers, responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our restaurant. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage the seating chart and coordinate with servers to optimize table turnover.
- Assist guests with reservations and accommodate walk-in customers efficiently.
- Provide information about menu items and specials to enhance guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
- Experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to help others enjoy their dining experience.
