We are seeking a skilled and experienced Director of Project Management to join our Product team! The Director of Project Management (DPM) will oversee the functional leadership of our team of project managers, test engineers, and systems engineers, driving team growth and development. The ideal candidate has extensive experience leading cross-functional global teams, driving sales, development, and deployment. The DPM will use their ability to see the cross-functional impacts of decisions, project plans, and overall execution. Balancing the scope, schedule, and budget, the DPM will use their knowledge of Social Mobiles business objectives to create roadmaps for successful, on time projects.

Responsibilities :

Manage a global team of Project Managers, Test Engineers and System Engineers.

Motivate the project team to ensure solutions are reliable and of quality, in a highly collaborative fashion.

Independently coordinate deliverables and project assets to assist the project team.

Define quarterly goals and assess them on a timely basis 1-on-1.

Measure accountability on a weekly basis, provide appropriate reports to senior management.

Anticipate and address obstacles or issues that are moderate to significant in severity and escalate complex issues to senior management for assistance.

Provide effective communication with internal and external stakeholders on any project delays, budget etc.

Define strategic initiatives to align the business to agile product development.

Manage the entire life cycle of Social Mobile products from concept to launch.

Develop project schedule and work with ODMs to drive critical milestone commitments.

Lead weekly calls with ODMs / Labs / SM personnel, capturing action items and following through to closure.

Act as POC for communication with 3rd party partners in India, China etc.

Schedule monthly and quarterly reviews with 3rd party partners on achievements and areas of improvements.

Participate in customer sales calls to discuss project related tasks.

Develop overall project budget and ensure projects stay within budget and on time.

Develop business plans, strategies and approaches to capitalize on business opportunities.

Lead system integration planning, release management, and planning for demonstrations, proof of concepts and pilots.

Organize and present business, technical and program reviews / status to senior leadership using digital media, dashboards and JIRA agile project management tools.

Translate customer problems into solution requirements.

Partner with Portfolio Management to ensure strategic goals align and are represented in the innovation feature roadmap.

Develop and protect intellectual property; be well versed with IP fundamentals.

Employees will be required to adhere to Social Mobiles information security policies and procedures.

Requirements :

Bachelor's degree or higher

12 years of experience as project manager in similar consumer product industry working with global partners and US based team members.

5 years of experience managing teams with direct reports. (preference for teams located locally and globally)

5 years of experience leading meetings and driving action items with global organizations (operations and teams in China, India, etc.) using tools like Teams / Zoom / Skype etc.

Extensive experience with project management tools including but not limited to : Monday.com, Google, MSFT etc.

Highly analytical and able to communicate clearly and effectively.

Experience working in a fast paced technical, product development environment.

Self-starter, skilled to work independently.

Track record of accountability and ownership of performance.

Exemplary attention to detail.

Exhibits excellent problem resolution and critical thinking skills.

Strong product and process knowledge.

Technical knowledge of cellular and Android ecosystem is a plus

Experience with taking products through carrier and regulatory certification is a plus.
