Group Facilitator position open at our Bimini and Royal Palms residential treatment programs (www.socialmodel.com) for men. Royal Palms focuses on the LGBTQ community. The primary function of the Group Facilitator is to process group sessions. However, this position may be asked to perform the core functions of a Counselor as assigned and when needed. Functions may include but are not limited to screening, intake, assessment, orientation, individual counseling, treatment planning, case management, and documentation.
- Role model appropriate healthy and ethical behaviors in all interactions, including HIPAA and Confidentiality standards.
- Monitor and lead residents in process groups including Evidence Based Treatment, Life Skills and Educational Groups. Groups may include multi-family groups and recreational activities.
- Guide and motivate group participants through various group topics related to recovery.
- Ensure the fostering of growth and development of group participants.
- Document the services provided according to standards set by the Agency and applicable County, State, and Federal regulations. Documentation should be clear, concise, and completed in a timely manner.
- Stay current with best practices and knowledge of behavioral health treatment strategies.
- Facilitate full utilization of service units, including Case Management, as directed by the supervisor.
- Familiarity and adherence to all regulatory expectations and ethical standards and Agency policies and procedures, including the Agency’s Core Beliefs.
- Maintain constructive relationships with family members, community members and organizations, human services agencies, and other professionals.
SUD credential (registered or certified). Salary commensurate with salary and experience. Non smoker preferred.
