What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asia Campaigning Coach/Instructor position at Social Movement Technologies?
This position is remote. You can be based anywhere in Asia.

Do you have deep experience with running online and offline social justice campaigns?
Keep your full-time job or other work commitments, but freelance with SMT to share your expertise to strengthen people's power movements across Asia a few hours a week or month. This is an opportunity to share your experience with campaigners across Asia and work with groups 1:1 to help them ramp up. It's also an opportunity to learn more.
Social Movement Technologies’ mission is to provide strategy, training and campaign support to build people-power for justice and win in the digital age. We're an NGO movement support group driven 100% to meet movement needs. We're super lean - we do lots with little, just like most groups we work with.
SMT’s small but highly effective team has trained staff from over 5000 groups and unions over its first 11 years and worked with 200 groups on campaigns more in-depth.
SMT provides the in-depth campaign training staff and activists need in the digital age. Our goal is to expand access by driving down the cost of this training and providing excellent online learning experiences to deepen organizing proficiency dramatically. We use digital campaigning to amplify in-person action, broaden support, activate supporters, and pressure targets. Our bias is towards meeting the needs of small to medium-size groups.
