What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish speaking DUI Counselor position at Social Service Staffing & Recruiting, Inc.?
This is a temporary position, in person, in Los Angeles without an end date. The Counselor will be facilitating DUI groups and providing individual counseling sessions in the office. The position will report in an office setting and there are no requirements to drive or do home visits within the community. Assignment 40 hours/ week, temp Tuesday to Saturday 11AM to 7:30PM with no end date. Candidate must be able to clear a Livescan, recent TB test is required. Parking available on site but car is not required.
JOB DUTIES:
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling, and educational classes.
• Consult with the Program Manager/Coordinator on content and process of counseling, and maintain a caseload as required by the funding agency.
• Maintain a caseload in compliance with all agency policies and procedures as well as federal, state, county, and local regulations.
• Collect information related to the client's socio-economic history, treatment history, and other information related to the formulation of a treatment plan.
• Assist clients in formulating a treatment plan at intake and make revisions as necessary.
• Make progress notes on clients on his/her caseload and review the treatment record with the Program Manager/Coordinator regularly.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must be registered or certified with one of the following:
CCAPP
CADTP
CAADE
ACCBC
• Must have a working knowledge of conducting individual counseling sessions for those with a history of substance abuse issues and their families.
• Must have strong working knowledge of crisis intervention and individual counseling, documentation and multicultural and socio-economic issues.
• Bilingual Spanish
