Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team. As a Behavior Technician, you will work with children with autism, providing support and implementing behavioral therapy techniques. Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients using applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques
- Collect data on client progress and behavior during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the BCBA to develop and modify treatment plans as needed
- Monitor and document client progress, including behavioral changes and skill acquisition
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients during therapy sessions
Skills:
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and team members
- Patience, empathy, and compassion when working with individuals with special needs
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and implement treatment plans consistently
- Excellent observation skills to monitor client behavior and progress
