Summary
Position Overview:
The Administrative Coordinator will provide vital administrative support to the Director of Social Work and Patient Family Services and Director of Case management, departments central to Moffitt Cancer Center’s mission. Social Work And Case Management play a key role in ensuring patients and their families receive the compassionate care and resources they need throughout their cancer journey. This position offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the department’s success and, by extension, to Moffitt’s groundbreaking work in cancer prevention, treatment, and the search for a cure.
In this role, you’ll manage complex administrative tasks, prepare important reports, documents, and presentations, and oversee key projects that support the department’s work. By ensuring smooth administrative operations, you will enable the team to focus on their critical role in providing support to patients, families, and caregivers, all while advancing Moffitt’s mission to prevent and cure cancer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Ensure all departmental functions are executed efficiently and in alignment with established procedures, contributing to the department's ability to provide compassionate support to patients and their families.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Manage the Director's calendars, appointments, itineraries, and travel arrangements. Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and special events to facilitate the department’s critical work.
- Document & Report Preparation: Prepare and format non-routine documents, reports, and spreadsheets that provide key insights into the department’s progress and impact.
- Advanced Presentations: Develop compelling presentations to support the Social Work department’s initiatives, helping to convey the importance of its work in the broader context of Moffitt’s mission.
- Data Analysis: Collect, compile, and analyze moderately complex to complex data to support the department’s goals and initiatives. Use data to help inform decisions that positively impact patient care and services.
- Policy Interpretation: Interpret and explain departmental policies and procedures to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding across teams.
- Team Support: Assist in training and mentoring administrative staff, fostering a collaborative environment where all team members contribute to the department’s goals and Moffitt’s larger mission.
Credentials & Qualifications:
- Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3 years of administrative experience in healthcare, research, or academic settings.
- Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
