Elementary School Social Worker needed for full-time, temporary position in Bucks County.
Monday to Friday, 8:45 am to 3:45 pm

The School Social Worker collaborates with educational staff, students, families, and community
resources to address factors impacting student learning. Their primary role is to identify and assess
student needs through behavioral assessments, case management, and advocacy. They help students
maximize educational opportunities, manage stress, and develop decision-making skills while addressing
environmental barriers to learning.
For parents, School Social Workers provide guidance on navigating school policies, understanding special
education programs, meeting children?s social-emotional needs, and accessing community resources.
They support schools by addressing cultural, economic, familial, and health factors affecting students,
optimizing resources, and promoting a safe learning environment.
Additional services include interagency coordination, case management for at-risk students, community
referrals, direct interventions like counseling and behavioral planning, and participation in
multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated support for students and families.
